After working as an assistant editor for VISION Magazine in Beijing, James was inspired to move to New York to pursue his interest in photography.
James has developed a signature editing and directing style: sensual, intimate, and provocative. Borrowing from his experience as a competitive ballroom dancer, James directs individuals on how to convey emotions with their body and captures that in his photography.
